HOORAY!!!
ARASHI's DVD "PIKANCHI" & 3rd ALBUM "HOW'S IT GOING?" HAVE ARRIVED!!!
I love you CD JAPAN!!!
Gee, that was quick. =O Why wasn't it quick with the KAT-TUN DVD and TxT CD?! >.< But... I'm HAPPY!!! Hohohohoho. ^o^ Okay, right now, I don't care about magazines anymore. XD Nyahahaha. That can come later. I'm just *ECSTATIC* about the DVD and the CD!!!
ARASHI, I LOVE YOU!
*dance stormily around the room*
Thursday, 10 July 2003 ♥♥ 05:24 p.m.
^^;; I can't believe I didn't write a new entry for two whole days. =P LOL! I thought I had been writing something all along. XD Oh well. Was busy with some stuff.
MORE PICS FROM MATSURI!!!
This is the last selection of pics, unfortunately, but they're quite plentiful anyway. Besides, there's really nothing special. Just a bunch of pics of Ami-chan and some people at the committee (no, there is no Oguri-san! XD LOL! I promised to send my pic with Oguri-san via mail to some people... =P)
- Ami-chan & the Omikoshi
- Ami-chan + tomodachi + kodomotachi
- MC Trio + Sakai-san's son Kanato
- Ami-chan + Chie-san (very sweet woman!)
- Ami-chan + Inada-san (funny man!)
- Hibiki Rengo On Stage: Special Performance 1
- Hibiki Rengo On Stage: Special Performance 2
- Hibiki Rengo On Stage: Special Performance 3
Actually, I wanted to show some pics of me and Poppy in Plaza Senayan, which were taken on Friday the day before the Matsuri last week. After the grand rehearsal, Poppy and I went to PS wearing our red Matsuri uniforms. We paraded in Sogo with that uniform, kind of like showing off to people about the Matsuri. We were really thick to do that but we were just so proud of the Matsuri that we thought, "What the heck?! Let's do it!" Besides, Poppy and I were bored looking at the typical styles of Indonesian girls these days - wearing the same things, dressing up the same way - so we decided to put a bit of a "color" in the mall. Hahaha. But our poses that time were really silly. =P So, I'm embarrassed to show it.
YESTERDAY'S GATHERING WITH CECIL & K4R-KUN WAS FUN!
I hope Kar-kun doesn't suffer from embarrassment from having me & Cecil as companions. ^^;; We were quite noisy in Starbucks PS (you think, "Does Ami-chan always go to Starbucks PS whenever there's a gathering?!" The answer is a definite YES. ^^;; Hahaha...) and then in Kino PI, Cecil and I were particularly noisy, laughing all over the place while we were reading Shingo Katori's "BeraBera Book". Gomen, ne, Kar-kun, if we give you an attack of embarrassment in Starbucks and Kino.
But even since the beginning, in the moment I found Cecil and Kar-kun in Kino PS for the first time, we were already quite noisy. I showed them the pics from my dejikamu in Kino. XD LOL! Funnily, Kar-kun and Cecil had been occupying the same area (in the new release stands) and they didn't seem to realize each other's identities. LOL! Hahaha.
In Starbucks, first we sat down on the normal table (that is, the ones with the chairs) and Cecil and Kar-kun got free samples of the Rhumba Frappuccino. I'm not fond of that flavor, so I didn't take any. =P Demo ano futari... HUAH! They grabbed the free samples right away! Hahaha. The short straw on the tiny glass was cute though. Hahaha. Shortly enough, we started to take photographs. I took pics of Kar-kun and Cecil but Kar-kun didn't want to look at the camera. (NANDE, KAR-KUN?! ^^;;) But Cecil, as usual, posed prettily for the camera. She is so camera-loving. Hahaha.
Later on, we found an empty sofa, so we transferred ourselves there. Kimochi~~~~ Very comfy. We talked. We discussed various stuff on the Duet July issue that I brought to return back to Cecil. We translated an article together, adored the guys (Kame in particular), looked at the guys' hairstyles (I think I'm going to cut my hair like Tsuba or Kame), and then we took some more pictures. Hehehe. At one point, Cecil spotted a cutie (Japanese! ^^;;) but I thought he looked a bit old. LOL! XD
Around four, we decided to check out Kino in PI so we drove there in my car and the real madness started.
Okay, I really need to say this.
TAKASHI TSUKAMOTO, TAKAMASA SUGA & JUN KANAME ARE DROP DEAD GORGEOUS.
Urgh. We went there because I wanted to show Kar-kun this magazine called Vision or something that had neo-actors, most being hero-actors. There was practically everyone there (well, except Kento Handa ^^;;). Kar-kun opened the magazine and I took a peek. I ran out of breath. Tsukamoto, Suga and Kanajun are God-like handsome. And now I understand completely why Fi-chan is crazy about Takano Hassei. He *IS* gorgeous. Grrrrrrhhhhh.
I wanted to buy the magazine but the magazine costs 234 thousand rupiah. Definitely a ridiculous price for a magazine - it costs the same as Kimura's KAI-HO-KU and it even costs more than Tackey & Tsubasa's Infinity. >.< How annoying. I was having a real dilemma yesterday. I couldn't decide. In the end, I didn't buy it. I was just bearing in mind one thing: that magazine doesn't have Junno or Tsubasa in it. ~_~ Silly reason, yes, but that saved my wallet yesterday. Then again, if my subcriptions don't arrive tomorrow, I'm definitely going to buy that magazine. Urgh.
For now, I'll just be content with FINE BOYS Hair Book (the one with Okada on the cover) because inside there's also Suga. ^-^ Uuuh, Suga, I wouldn't mind having a boyfriend like you!!! Hohoho. ^o^
Cecil and I dub Takashi Tsukamoto as THE ORIGINAL BISHOUNEN. Uwa. He's so cute.
Anyway, that's what we did yesterday in Kino PI. Opened magazines and drooled. Cecil opened a BIPASS and I opened a May issue of Non-no. Not bad. The recent one that came in Kino had Kamisen in it (talking about their movie "Cosmic Rescue") but that one I opened had Fukakyon, Ueto Aya and Kimura. But nothing really interested me except for the bags. =P LOL! After that, we checked out the BeraBera book. Cecil and I recited some words from the book and we started giggling and chuckling every time we find something funny. The book is so cute!!! I was reciting most of the time with the proper Japanese pronunciation and intonation for every sentence. Cecil said I was like a language learning-cassette! XD At some point, we burst out laughing - thank God Kar-kun was not near us or he'd have to bear with our behavior ... GOMEN!!! -- and we had a talk about JACK/JACKY. Hmmm.
Oh! Also saw Josei and Friday in the stands. Urgggghhhh... those two freaking magazines are sold in Indonesia?! >.< Ewww. The Josei one was the one that Jenn said had something terrible to say about TxT. Meanwhile the Friday one was that issue that had the love rumor about Ken Miyake and Namie Amuro. I didn't bother checking out the contents. I don't want to worry myself with the stuff they write in it. ~_~
Anyway, meeting ended somewhere towards half past five. Kar-kun left earlier because he had to exit at a different gate, so Cecil and I went together to wait for our car. Well, that's it. She went home and so did I a few seconds later. Hahaha.
~_~ I wish Cecil doesn't have to go back to Melbourne. ^^;; Heee. I feel really lonely without her. Hahaha. It's like, WHERE DID ALL OF MY FRIENDS GO?! XD LOL!
I really need to update my sub-page. Tsubanamae Blog Crew needs proper attention. ^-^ But there's something really special that I'm planning for all of us. Hohoho. Thanks to Tsubasailor! Hehehe.
Then I'm going to update BabyBunny.com. (Speaking of Junno, I talked to Junko about a couple of things last night in our chat that went on until morning. One matter I still can't get out of my head but I think for Junno's sake, I'll try to forget about it. Junno no tameni. Everything for him.)
Better be off now.
Monday, 7 July 2003 ♥♥ 06:30 p.m.
Happy, happy... ^-^
Sakai-san just emailed me and Poppy... he congratulated and thanked us for our cooperation in the website. He said that we did very well and his Japanese friends (from the committee) said that we proved to be excellent MCs. Wah, is there anything else better than to receive compliment from your idol?! ^-^ Sakai-san, thank you so very much... I can't wait to meet him again. But he also said in the email that the evaluation meeting will be held on July 12th. So I have to wait until then to meet him.
Anyway, I woke up this morning feeling so tired. I woke up at eight but then continued sleeping up to eleven! I didn't care; I just felt dead tired. Well, now that I've got a well-deserved rest, I think I can carry on. =P LOL!
Right now I'm worrying about my Duet magazine which hasn't arrived. ~_~ Hiks. Yesasia wrote in the email that they shipped it June 27th, but up until now it hasn't arrived. Urgh, I hate waiting. >.< Or is it the post office being a real jerk again?! Well, that's the Indonesian post office for you -- JERK.
But somehow I'm not as worried as I usually am... or maybe that's because Cecil lent me her copy and I've already looked through the magazine. The cutest thing in it is Junno, Tsubasa in pajamas, and this interview thing with Kame... LOL!!! He was asked about girls, dating and stuff. Cute! ^-^ (Now, I am back to being attracted by Kame again; ever since I know he and Junno are closest in KAT-TUN. ^^;; Hee... and since Kame is also close to Tsubasa, I'm kinda favoring him. XD LOL!!! I realize that it's terrible of me to favor Kame just because he's close with the Johnny's guys I like. I don't think it's fair for him to be liked just because he's close with someone because I want him to be appreciated for his talent. But I am not ashamed of saying that I'm a potential Kame fan, 'cause I do like all KAT-TUN boys *and* he was the first one who caught my attention when I first found out about KAT-TUN. Hehehe.)
Argh. Okay. Stop talking about Kame first. I need to concentrate on Junno. The website was abandoned for two (three?) days... I need to work on it before I get back to my Japanese course.
Anyway, I've uploaded some of the photos from the Matsuri. I'm just uploading the ones that I feel is interesting to share. I'll send by email to those who want to see more... =P (Kar-kun, I'll show you my pic with Oguri-san by email!)
- Indonesian MCs + Akai-san
- Sakai-san + song operator (LOL! XD) + Poppy
- MC team + Hibiki Rengo (Ohayashi)
- Members of committee 1
- Members of committee 2
- Rocky, the cute puppy! ^-^
Okay, do you know which one is Oguri-san? =P LOL! I love that pic we took on stage with Akai-san. Inada-san took it for us. ^-^ That's before the show started. He suggested we took it there so that we could feel more relaxed before the show started... Hell, Inada-san definitely has the best suggestions... 'cause it worked for us. Poppy and I felt less nervous after we took the pics there...
AND ROCKY!!! LOOK AT THAT CUTE PUPPY!!! SOMEONE GIVE ME A PUPPY LIKE THAT!!! >.<
I'm having so much trouble whether I should get a new puppy, a new hamster or a new rabbit... ~_~ Hiks. Maybe I should just get Junno. He's cuter than those animals rolled into one. XD Hehehe...

JAKARTA MIKOSHI MATSURI DAY 2 FINISHED!
OTSUKARESAMA DESHITA!!!
You guys can't believe how delighted, pleased and satisfied I am with this festival. The past two days have just been nothing but sun, fun, culture and most importantly, EXPERIENCE. I feel so proud to have been a part of the Matsuri Festival. =) Gosh, I had so much fun and I don't think I will ever forget these two days of festival. ^-^
So today, I had the afternoon shift. But I still came early in the morning to help Sakai-san and Poppy. We rehearsed a bit for the MC opening dance, because Sakai-san thought our dance yesterday weren't synchronized enough. ^^;; (Gomenasai... hazukashikatta yo... demo kyou wa mou ganbarimashita! Yokatta yo~) Anyway, I still felt nervous but it wasn't like yesterday where I was *EXTREMELY* nervous. At least I remember my lines... ^^;;
The 2nd day of Mikoshi Matsuri Festival started with the Ohayashi performance and followed by the budo exhibition. All sorts of Japanese martial arts were shown here. I didn't get to see everything because it was so hot and I decided to hang around the 2nd comittee post to see if they need any help there while Poppy and Sakai-san went to learn some "batik" painting skills. ^-^ Hahaha. That is so cute, Sakai-san learning how to do batik! XD
There was a performance by Osuwa Daiko around noon... I went there to see them and... surprise, surprise, I met Mic! Hahaha. She came straight from the hospital. Sugoi. I also met Freya for the first time (gomen ne, blog no URL wo wasurechatta kara... namae dake kaitemasu... ^^;; Sorry I forgot your blog URL so I just wrote your name. ^^;;) Too bad we only had time to hang out together for a while because I had to go back to my post, in case anything. Poppy is working hard that time so I felt bad for leaving her even though I know it's not my shift.
Nakagawa-san came to tell us that there would be one hour free of NO SHOWS AT ALL!!! Panic time!!! We didn't want people to leave and we wanted to keep them entertained. Nakagawa-san felt that the kiosks alone couldn't keep the visitors from staying... you know what he did?! He asked me if I could sing on stage. I told him to play BGM of the recent Japanese songs (like from Arashi or V6, perhaps Hitomi Shimatani - they played her songs yesterday - and Hikaru Utada) but he said it would be better if Poppy and I went on stage to dance. (He chose Mai Kuraki's "Always" for us to sing... ^^;;;;) rgh. So glad I didn't have to do that. That would be totally embarrassing. LOL! Hahahaha... BUT SAKAI-SAN SAVED THE DAY!!!
This is why I idolize him! HE IS SO FULL OF ENERGY! SO DYNAMIC AND SO MUCH "ALIVE"!!! When Nakagawa-san told him that the MCs better do something on stage to entertain the visitors, he went to Oguri-san, chose a song, ran up on stage and started to dance!!! He danced alone. Everyone else in the committee was calling out to Poppy and I, "Shigoto! Oshigoto da yo! Suteeji wo ike!! Ike yo! Sakai-san to odotte yo!" (Work! Work! Go to the stage! Dance with Sakai-san!) We knew we couldn't leave Sakai-san alone, and we try to keep up with his energy, so we forgot about feeling ashamed and ran up on stage to say dance with him!
IT WORKED! The strategy worked! SUGOI NE~ Nakagawa-san to Sakai-san... they are really professional! In the end, Poppy led the people to dance poco-poco (though the movements are all wrong... XD But it doesn't matter because all we had to do is keep on moving just so people could follow us!) and we invited people up on stage! Everyone danced, including some committee members. ^-^ TANOSHIKATTA! And I forced myself to use a bit of Japanese to attract the attention of the Japanese people. I just said, "MINNA, ISSHO NI ODORIMASHO!" Just so they know we want them to join us!
Anyway, it lasted only for a couple of minutes. But at least we kept the visitors there and we felt we didn't embarrass ourselves overly much. See, that's what being MC is all about. You can't just say your lines according to the text... you also have to improvise and know how to communicate with the audience, how to entertain them... and trust me, if you think being MC is about being on stage all the time to get into the spotlight, well, that's ABSOLUTELY WRONG. I think it's a tough job being an MC. I've learned a lot on how to take on a tough job in two days... I'm so very thankful I had this chance.
The Yosakoi Soran dance started at four. There was this "incident" prior to the dance performance. A minister, a Ms. Rini Suwandi from Ministry of Industry and Trade of Indonesia, came as a guest. One of the committee members had called her up to ask if she was coming soon so we could wait for her before the dance performance. She confirmed she was coming soon so we announced that the performance was going to be delayed for the sake of waiting for this minister lady. And well, SHE WAS LATE FOR FIFTEEN MINUTES!!! Grrrrrrrhhhhhh. I was so embarrassed. I mean, FIFTEEN MINUTES! That's very irresponsible. We made the guests waited for so long and the performers were on standby mode already from the scheduled time. Urgh. But then she came, getting VIP treatment, and I was only thinking, "'Bout time you showed up, lady!"
Because of the minister's tardiness, I was afraid we would run behind on our schedules... but everything went smoothly. The Osuwa Taiko group did another performance right after that and they even held a flash course session for those who want to learn how to play the taiko (drums). Unfortunately, it was limited only for fifteen people. So many people didn't get a chance to do it. ~_~ There was this guy who had been waiting since two hours before but didn't get a chance. I felt so sorry for him. HONTOU NI GOMENASAI DESHITA. ~_~ Anyway, after the whole Osuwa Taiko session on stage, they had yet another session on the grounds, beside the sound operator's post (Oguri-san's post! ^-^) and people were swarming all over the place! ^^;; Daininki da ne... =P LOL! Hahaha. Their leader even held an autograph signing session over at the committee's post! ^^;; Hahaha.
Oh yeah! Kar-kun came again! He showed up earlier, around two? Or even one?! =P Whoa. He stayed there for a very long time. ^_^ ARIGATOU GOZAIMASHITA!! Thank you so much for coming! He helped me a lot, by looking after my possessions such as digicam and cell phone while I go around MC-ing or playing. =P We talked about Oguri-san... ;) He agrees that Oguri-san is totemo kakkoii! YAY!
Oh and I also forgot to say... I met up with Sakai-san's son, Kanato!!! Oh my God, he is also a very kakkoii boy! I idolize Sakai-san even more when I saw him playing with his son. Ii papa desu yo! ^-^ If I get married, I hope whoever my husband is, he will be that good of a father to our children... (HAHAHAHA! TALKING ABOUT THE FUTURE HERE!) Sakai-san said at home he's very strict with his kids but I just know that he's such a good papa! Sakai-san, sugoi ne~ I really, really admire Sakai-san! ^_____^ Other than Kanato, I met Yuri, this very lovely and sweet little Japanese girl. I think she's the daughter of Ishitani-san?? Hmm... wakaranai... but she was there with another boy. I took pictures of Kanato, Yuri and the other boy. I carried conversations with them in Japanese... uwaaa, thank God they understood my Japanese. Yuri called me "Oneechan". ^-^ Hehehe... We also played together with a cute black puppy!!! OH MY GOD!!! THE PUPPY WAS SO CUTE!!! I'm going to upload the pic of the puppy. He is soooooooooooo cute...
Guess who the name is??
ROCKY!!!!
^-^
And did you know, Rocky is the name of Junno's character's dog in the film "MOHOUHAN"!!! ^-^ Hehehehehehehehe...
TONIKAKU. ANYWAY. Back to the festival... the omikoshi show is another sugoi performance!!! This was the penultimate session so people wanted to do it more and more. In the last session, MORE PEOPLE WANTED TO TRY that the event extended to another half an hour, I think! Sakai-san also tried to lift up the Omikoshi! Oh my God... and before that he had just finished Yosakoi Soran dance! You just can't imagine how much energy this man has inside himself! He's probably the most active person alive I know. ^^;; The ohayashi group, Hibiki Rengo, even gave an special extra performance!!! It wasn't on the schedule, but they went up to the stage and performed to songs. (Mind you, I didn't object at all - because their music is wonderful and all the musicians were extremely good looking! ^-^) People were shouting, "Encore! Encore! Mou ichido! Mou ichido!" TENSION GA TAKAKATTA!!! SUGOKATTA!!! I was really amazed to see how much enthusiasm the audience had. I had to get out of there before people started crushing me in front of the stage. ^^;; Even after that, still more people wanted to lift the omikoshi so two more sessions were added... AGAIN!!!
Finally, after all of that, the poco-poco dance team could get up on stage and performed. Okay, so the first performance was so-so. I mean, they didn't show any significant choreography or anything (and I'm not saying this just because that group gave us MCs so much trouble >_< Urgh...) But the poco-poco dance was really cool! ^-^ The music was... well, weird... (think: house music; remixed. XD LOL!) However, EVERYONE WAS THERE! A lot of people joined in so it was like one big party. Hahaha. I tried to dance it but decided that I'm not talented enough for poco-poco (man, I can do a Jyaanis dance but can't do poco-poco! ^^;; This is totally weird... =P)
One of the funniest things that happened was that Sakai-san dragged Pak Heru on top of the stage to dance poco-poco together!!! LOL!!! Hahaha.... XD Pak Heru was resisting like anything but Sakai-san wouldn't be put off so, the poco-poco MC (someone from the dance group), a dancer from the group Sakai-san, Pak Heru and Pak Bambang all danced energetically on the stage! Once again, I have to say I'm amazed at Sakai-san because he didn't run out of breath at all!!!
Finally, the CLOSING! Us three - Sakai-san, Poppy and me - went up again to the stage and said our thank yous and goodbyes. After that... OWATTA!!! YATTA YO!!!
I was so happy and full of smile when I said to everyone, "Arigatou gozaimashita! Otsukaresama deshita!" I just felt happy that the festival was over successfully... I'm sad of course because such a good thing must end but I had the experience and that's what counts most. =)
The committee members gathered up around the omikoshi, even with the musicians of Hibiki Rengo, and everyone drank sake to say "cheers" to the closing of the festival. Heee... I had a bit of sake... and it tasted so weird. I don't think I can ever try it. Oh, and after I sipped it, I coughed so loud and said, "Eheks! Hen na aji da..." Oguri-san was there and he laughed at me. (AH, OGURI-SAN, DO YOU REALIZE, YOU MADE MY HEART STOP WHEN YOU DID THAT?! ^^;;) Hahahaha... but anyway, it was getting late and Poppy and I had to say goodbye. We said goodbye to everyone and left so we could get a proper rest.
I think tomorrow or the day after, we will have a get together (the commitee) for the "official" closing and festival evaluation meeting. I don't know if Poppy and I are needed but Sakai-san told us to come if he has received the confirmation of this gathering's date. Okay, so we'll definitely come because I want to meet up with Sakai-san, Nakagawa-san, Oguri-san, Inada-san, Akai-san, Azumaya-san, Mariko-san, Chie-san, Fuad-san... minna zenbu to mou ichido aitai desu!!!
So, that was it. The Jakarta Mikoshi Matsuri 2003 is over. I'm really grateful for this chance that was given to me to be able to be a part of something wonderful. ^-^ I want to do it again next year if I get the chance!!!
FOR EVERYONE WHO HAS COME, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!
I hope everyone enjoyed the festival as much as I do! (Well, I'm sure everyone enjoyed it the festival in a much more convenient way than I do... 'cause I had to wear this costume and everyone could wear anything else... ^^;; And they don't have to deal with the stage fever and such... hahahaha...) THANKS SO MUCH! ^-^ Hope we can enjoy such festival again soon. =)

Jakarta Mikoshi Matsuri Day 1 Finished!
Uwaaaaaaa... one more day to go. But I had so much fun today. ^-^ I'm really, really GLAD I took on this MC-ing job. I don't know if I did a good job (but since no one is complaining... =P) but the whole event is just such a wonderful experience. ^-^ Yay! Yokatta.
I met so many people today!! =O Whoa. Can't believe it! I met Kar-kun, Fi, Saiko, two ex-high school friends, and my fellow JakArt companion Ardy. I think tomorrow Mic is going to come, as well as Cecil. Fi said she was going to come again. I seriously hope they don't come when I'm having my MC duty. ^^;; Other than hazukashii, I also won't be able to hang out with them! >.< So please, let them come when I'm not busy! ^^;;
All the performances are great. I particularly liked the drums. Ohayashi and Osuwa Taiko (HANDSOME MUSICIANS HERE!!!!!!! XD)... and sugoi ne, the Omikoshi performance. It's amazing. 1500 kilograms and some 50 to 70 men lifting it up. I also like the Yosakoi Soran dance. Uwaa. Kakkoii!! I wish I had their costumes. ^^;;; Hehehe.
I enjoyed MC-ing with my real life idol, Sakai-san, and Poppy. With Sakai-san, itsumo tension ga takai ne~ Sakai-san wa kyou kakkoyokatta. Minna mo totemo yasashikute, itsumo atashi ni tetsudatte moratta. Yokatta yo ne~ Sakai-san's performance is just great. He's such a wonderful MC. I don't think I could be as cheerful as he is. ^^;; Demo ganbarimashita... I tried my best. Everyone in the comittee also worked hard and were very nice to us. They gave us directions, talked to us and helped us when we ask them. ^-^ Ii matsuri desu yo ne~
Throughout the day, when I'm not on stage announcing stuff, I stationed myself near the sound technicians' post! Why?? Because the song operator, Oguri-san, is a handsome man and I have a crush on him (no, seriously, hopefully he doesn't come to this blog and read about this thing! Hahahaha...) Anyway, I was so into him today, I almost couldn't take my eyes off him. He's not exactly gorgeously handsome (don't think Junno or Kouchan or the likes) but he's definitely good looking. He's cool and quiet. I didn't speak much with him but he looks very friendly. I'm going to try to talk to him tomorrow. I have an opening line figured out: "Oguri-san, ohayou gozaimasu! Ogenki desu ka? Kyou mo yoroshiku onegaishimasu!" ^-^ Hehe. Hopefully, we can be friendlier tomorrow. I'm just in love with him today. Hahaha.
Speaking of crushes, I could see in the festival several other eye candies (I'm so glad I'm the MC, because I get to work near the stage and see every performer from up close). Two of the musicians from the Ohayashi performance are very kakkoii!!! And then there were several good-looking crew of the Osuwa Taiko team. *drool* Gyan. =D Hehehe. What else could I ask for?!
I got to eat takoyaki and drink this ice drink kinda thingie with green tea flavor topped with sweet milk and red bean sauce (I forgot the name) ... OISHIKATTA! I'm going to have some of those again tomorrow. ^o^ Hohohoho. And some girls appeared wearing yukata. KIREI DESU NE~ Mic said she's going to appear wearing yukata. Hehehe. Definitely I'll take photos! ^-^ Ah, this was a really nice day...
Of course, it's not all about fun. We encountered some major problems. Like, the poco-poco dance team's music problem (urgh, this was highly annoying) and also the schedule that kept changing every hour... we had to compose new MC speeches to adjust to the show's order. ~_~ It could get pretty confusing.
I particularly had trouble from several guests. They keep coming to me to ask questions that I don't know the answer is! Like one lady came up to me and asked how she could apply to open a stand for next year's matsuri festival!!! (We don't even know if there will be another mikoshi matsuri!) And she *INSISTED* that I give her info on where to apply. She was angry when I told her we couldn't be too sure of next year's matsuri (safe answer). Urgh. What do you want, lady?! I tried my best answering questions from irritating women.
Also, the media approached Poppy and I to ask questions about the program. Funnily, the reporters had gone to ask the other committee members (the Japanese people) but they didn't understand the comittee members' Indonesian, so they turned to us. ^^;; Yabai kore. =P Poppy and I had to answer questions from two TV stations and one newspaper. ^^;; Overwhelming, indeed.
AND IT WAS ULTRA HOT!!!
I got sunburnt around the chest area because I was wearing quite a low-neck top and it's not covered by the matsuri uniform I wore. Uhhh... how terrible!!! Tomorrow I have to put on some more sunscreen. It was dead hot. I could feel myself melting every time I stand on the stage. ~_~ Gyan.
Nonetheless, I had so much fun with everything and everyone. Though I came home dirty and with sore feet (I spent one hour in the bathroom before I wrote in this blog, to soak my feet in hot water to relieve the pain), I totally had fun. I won't forget today. ^-^ I hope tomorrow I can do a good job. Hiyaa.
Matsuri ni kite kureta hito: ARIGATOU GOZAIMASHITA!
Kyou wa otsukare sama deshita! Ashita mo ganbarimasu!!!
