HITOE

... is back!!!
She used to be in the popular girlband SPEED. After their breakup, each member pursued a solo career. Out of the four, Hitoe Arakaki was the least successful one. I think she even only released one single. Or perhaps she released an album as well, but not that I know of. She used to be called Hitoe 57. The single "Inori" is quite good. Catchy. Compared to former group-mates Takako Uehara, who also released her single at that time, her song is definitely much better! More upbeat and catchier. Of course Takako was more popular... so...
Hitoe recently released an album, which I think is her first ever. The single song that came out of it, I Got You is a smooth and funky R&B track that is typically her style. Her voice has improved a lot, even though probably it was a bit studio-enchanced. But anyway, it's worth to hear.
Personally, I'm going to buy her album because she used to be my favorite (ex) SPEED member. Musically, I prefer Hiro's. But I just thought she looked so cool because she's "judes" (how do you translate this word into English?). She doesn't smile that often, gives that challenging look and she is definitely not that typical Japanese sweet faced girl (like Ami Suzuki --- okay, so maybe I'm just bitter because of the whole Takki thing. ^^;;;) Anyway, I'm definitely buying her album and Hiro's to check out what her music sounds like.

Check out Hitoe's Official Website!
(Seems like all of the ex-SPEED members are still with Avex. Just like Da Pump and MAX, their Okinawa compatriots.)

LORD OF THE RINGS DVD

I was watching RAI International a couple of days ago and I saw the "Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" DVD package. There's a special edition that consists of FOUR discs, and the other three discs contain some of the edited scenes, the complete story of the making of the film (including special effects processes) and, I think if I'm not mistaken, the interviews with cast and crew (I might mistake this last thing because I didn't really tune into the voice-over of the commentary because I was too amazed by the scenes shown from the DVD).
I WANT THIS ONE!!!
There's also, of course, the normal edition which contains only two discs of the movie and the abridged version (I guess) of those other three discs I mentioned above. But the 4-discs one is the one I want!!! MUST BE EXCELLENT!!!
I'm not hoping that this will be released in Indonesia. Since I saw it on RAI International, I'm not even sure if this will be released elsewhere other than Italy...
TERRY, DO YOU KNOW???
It's going to be DEAD EXPENSIVE but I really, really have to see the edited scenes. The effects are great!
.....
Gee, I've forgotten how it felt like watching a film dubbed in Italian. Actually, I'm against dubbing. But at one point in my life, I just got so used to of watching films dubbed in Italian. I used to be so surprised watching "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" in English!!! ^^;;; But those days are over now, I guess.
(Elena said that my Italian is still good although it's not quite the same as when I was still in Italy. Enzo's comment was worse... ^^;;; He cruelly said that I speak BAD ITALIAN and that I have to go back to Italy to improve it. Enzo, ma che cazzo stai dicendo?! Guarda quello che Elena ha detto: e' ancora buono anche se non e' come prima!!!)

TOKIO

I'm talking about the Johnny's group, Tokio. So far I haven't had the opportunity to hear a very decent (read: serious) song from them, although most that I've heard are fun. Perhaps there's "Green" and "Glider", but I don't really like the first and I don't know where I put the .wma file of the latter so I don't take those songs seriously.
Anyway, ever since I downloaded "Kimi Wo Omou Toki", I respect them more and even came to like TOMOYA NAGASE completely! I like his voice in this song!!! ^_^ It's so sexy!!!
I don't know which one is better: Jin's version or Tomoya's version. I like Jin's voice better but Tomoya sounds sexier! (If it were yesterday, when I haven't yet had the song, I would answer: JIN'S VERSION IS BETTER! Just because of the KAT-TUN factor. ^^;;;) I wasn't a big fan of Tomoya Nagase. Hell, I even dropped his prestige a lot of times, every time I make a story! But now, I fully love my oniisan (big bro).
...
Well, I don't like him the way Fi and Cecil do, perhaps. ^^;;;
...
And I've decided that my favorite Tokio member is........ NOT Masahiro Matsuoka but Tatsuya Yamaguchi! ^_^ I'm in love with him. Seriously. He looks like a big bear. He's so tan. He doesn't look have that typical "Johnny's" face, which is why he looks more unique. ;) He's handsome in a suit. He can sing (I think he was the backing vocal for Tomoya in several songs... =O) and he's so nice! A lot of the Juniors seem to like him. I got that impression when Touma Ikuta said in The Shounen Club that Yamaguchi looked very friendly and nice. He's also close with Kansai Jr.. He plays with Ryo Nishikido in "The Queen of Karuta" and likes to hang out with Shingo "Hina" Murakami and Yu Yokoyama. He was apologizing for not being able to talk to Hina on the phone and so he sent a message to Hina. ^_^ (I wonder if they ever got to go to the sea or have a barbeque, like Yamaguchi said in the message). That's so sweet!
I hope Gu-san (this is a pretty funny nickname) doesn't get sick again. He was sick in early December and had to be hospitalized but didn't stay long enough to recover because a day after hospitalization he got out again to record a TV show. ~_~
STAY GENKI, GU-SAN!!!

WHAT'S IN

I'm talking about the magazine here. It feels like I haven't bought PatiPati for a very long time, so I decided to buy it. I missed the January 2003 issue (cover was Chemistry). But the February 2003 issue is interesting enough.
Well, OF COURSE it's interesting. Ken Hirai is on the cover (he's just so handsome). Inside, 5 pages of Hirai (3 pages are dedicated to showing his handsome and sexy face and body). *DROOL*
There are also 6 pages of GLAY, but less pictures and more of the special interview with Takuro. (Fara (Mubesu) is really going to faint if she sees Hisashi here. So cool!)
Poster and article of Aya Matsuura, articles on Hikaru Utada, Mika Nakashima, Psycho Le Cemu, Bump pf Chicken, BoA, Mr. Children, Misia... and...
The 2002 What's In Reader's Poll!
Great, now I have more reading materials... ^_^ But first, I think I'm just going to drool over Ken Hirai. =D

This blog is property of The Tomatoe, a.k.a. Ami-chan (Amichi), whose real name is Amanda, born 18 September 1982.
Right now the Tomatoe is just so in love and obssessed with Takki, Tsubasa and Junno (and the rest of the KAT-TUN boys) that there's nothing else she could think of. In result, she's become very bored, and feels her life is meaningless, unless she's seeing or hearing something about the aforementioned boys. ^_^ Which is why she's heartbroken because for the whole month of January, there will be no "Za Shounen Club"... and because her magazines are still of the same amount and wish list has not been fulfilled.
Wanna know just how obssessed Tomatoe is? WRITE TO HER and ASK HER FOR YOURSELF!!!
Btw, the Tomatoe misses The Orange Blossom, who has kindly provided the excellent layout for this website (because The Tomatoe is not yet skillful with these things!!!) She hasn't been blogging, and we haven't met for days...

KATTUN!
KAT-TUN is a Johnny's Jr. group, with Kamenashi Kazuya, Akanishi Jin, Taguchi Junnosuke, Tanaka Koki, Ueda Tatsuya and Nakamaru Yuichi as members.

(Picture taken from Wink Up 11/2002)
(Left to right: Kamenashi-Akanishi-Ueda-Tanaka-Nakamaru-Taguchi)

Their names is meant to sound close to the word "cartoon", while it's also the acronyms of the first letters of their surnames.
They are one of the most popular Johnny's Jr. groups, and rumor has it they might even debut on August 2003 (still not sure if this is true or not).
KAT-TUN is the only Johnny's Jr. group at present who has already held their own SOLO concert (meaning: they were the main stars of the concert; not a joint concert with the other Juniors although many danced with them, of course) and they have their original song already, "Love or Like.
The lead singers are Jin and Kame (Tomatoe thinks Jin's voice is the best, while Kame's... err... better Junno or Yuichi than Kame... ^^;;;), Koki raps, and the rest fills the backing vocals. On the whole, KAT-TUN sounds best when they all sing together!!! ^_^
Tomatoe discovered the wonderful world of KAT-TUN on 2001”N‚XŒŽ‚Q‚Q“ú ('01/09/22). She likes everyone in KAT-TUN... but, she just adores and is affectionate towards Junnosuke because Junno-chan is sooooo cute and sweet.
